Musician Spotlight: Brad Whittle, Kentucky
"#isingbecause I want to praise God in everything that I do. I began #singing for the Church after joining my high school choir and realizing what I had been missing out on. At first, I was afraid to sing in front of people. But, a great mentor of mine once told me: “Never be afraid to worship God with the gifts that he has given you."
I later realized that the most repeated command in the bible is “Be not afraid." Singing for the Church is a continuation of a 2,000-year-old tradition of beautiful, musical worship of God. Singing for the #Church keeps me on the right path by providing me a beautiful means of speaking to God through the wonderful gift of music that he has given to mankind.
Friends in Christ, if you are considering joining music ministry… Never forget the reason you likely considered it in the first place…. To worship GOD. In remembering why you’re singing for the church, you can truly do anything. Be courageous for God, sing of his goodness, and do not be afraid!"
Brad is the Music Director at Sts. Boniface and James Parish in Ludlow, KY, and the music minister for the youth group of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Burlington, KY.
